Leeds Fringe Festival presents a week of mostly free music concerts across the city, showcasing local Yorkshire bands.
The ‘Fringe’ now in it’s second year has been organised by an innovative collaboration of music activists and is a focal point for talented local artists and bands.
Together they are aiming to put together the best unsigned event in the region as well as raising money for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Collectively they support local bands in many diverse ways, promoting unsigned talent and being a meeting point for everyone involved in the local music scene.
And new this year a music event, the first of its kind in Leeds, is set to make its debut ...
MF2011 (Metal Fringe 2011), part of the Leeds Fringe, will showcase local talent from the metal music persuasion in the week leading up to Leeds Festival.
Eighteen bands from across the city and beyond will join together in August to play three nights of alternative rock (Friday), metal (Saturday) and hard rock (Sunday), to raise money for Martin House Children’s Hospice.
