Practice Sheffield, located behind West Bar Police Station and five minutes’ walk from the city centre offers a number of rehearsal rooms, finished to the best possible standard.
Run by musicians and ex band members, it is clear to see that the emphasis is on quality. Marshall, Line 6 and Ampeg are just some of the names on the amps that grace the studio floors. All rooms feature beautiful Mapex six piece birch kits and more importantly, all kits have decent skins on them. As the owners know, bad drum skins are all too common throughout the rehearsal studio world.
The rooms alone are pretty impressive, time has obviously been spent finishing of the surroundings which make all the rooms feel comfortable as well as clean. If you normally practice in your living room, you won’t feel out of place at Practice Sheffield. All the spaces are better than most living rooms, let alone rehearsal studios!
A modern, laid back reception is also on offer, accompanied by two friendly faces. Luke and Ryan are always available for instrument advice (they don’t profess to be musical geniuses), tips on where to gig or even just a good old fashioned chat. They say that if they can’t keep you interested, free wireless internet and flat screen TV surely will.
