Music HQ presents a very special one off gig to launch Hull rock band Lavellion's new CD.
Always one of the most popular local bands. Main support comes from Fado Rock, another well established local rock band.
Opening band are Abbie Lammas and The Lesbian Bears, Abbie is better known as a solo/acoustic act but she has put together a great live band to flesh out her material.
We are going to have acoustic acts playing in the bar between the bands confirmed acts are the very special local slide blues stomper Half Deaf Clatch and local acoustic nutters The Crazy Mushrooms

Folk Narratives - With Vialka (France) and more, acoustic storytelling/music, University of Bradford and TLMC presents, ‘Folk Narratives’ – a musical event exploring musical approaches to storytelling and preserving local history, occurring across three Bradford libraries,
With performances by
Vialka – French baritone guitar, drums and vocal duo playing a special acoustic set including traditional French folk songs
The Housekeeping Society – West Yorkshire based progressive folk pop conceptualists
Stephanie Hladowski – Traditional folk songs sang unaccompanied from Bradford

RYAN SPENDLOVE plus support+ Mark Wynn + Lisa Marie Glover, Live Music, Ahead of his USA tour in March, taking in Chicago, Indianapolis, Kansas City, St Louis, Little Rock, New Orleans and Dallas, to mention a few, local singer songwriter Ryan Spendlove is set to take the stage at Dewsbury Socialist Club on Saturday 25th February. Playing songs from his recently released album Fable, along with some exciting and inspired new material.
Ryan, from Wakefield, had his first taste of fame as the frontman with The Blueskins, who’s track “Change my mind” was used in the Dukes of Hazzard movie re-make. His music has also been heard on Lynx commercials on TV. Now signed to Chicago based record label Candy Rat Records, his popularity has soared and he is set
to become the ‘next big thing’ to come out of Yorkshire.
Ryan’s live performances are energetic and passionate, having audiences singing along and stamping their feet to renditions of crowd pleasers which include ‘Out of sight out of mind’, ‘Silicone puppies’ and ‘Pretty Polly’.
Ryan will be supported by York based folk singer/songwriter, Mark Wynn and Leeds based songstress Lisa Marie Glover.
