Wilful Missing’s debut album ‘Molehills out of Mountains’ builds on the bands recent successes, coming as it does off the back of two well received Eps (Vast Atlantic, 2009 and Loose Ends, 2010), and a surge in popularity when four of the bands songs were featured in the popular BBC drama, Waterloo Road in 2011.
The album includes two of the songs that fans of Waterloo Road have been eagerly anticipating. ‘Constitution Failed’ and ‘Cry For The City’, are included on the album, while ‘Blue Poetry’ will be the B side to a future single.
‘Molehills out of Mountains’ also includes award winning song ‘The Waltz’ which won the 2011, 2 weeks to make it Sheffield video competition.
Wilful Missing’s unique cross-genre, cross generational appeal is fuelled by outstanding musicianship and song craft. Sam Kipling’s emotionally charged and intimate vocals draw the listener in subtly supported by the bands intricate attention to melodic and harmonic detail. Enticing and alluring and delightfully, emotionally complete.
