If you haven't already signed the online petition to voice your support, we ask that you do so now and get as many of your friends to do the same. Dear Friends
By now many of you will already be aware of the BBC's plans to axe 6 Music, Asian Network and a large portion of the website in an effort to cut costs and channel funds into Radio 2 - read the full article here. Phil Jupitas, comedian, musician and podcaster said of the decision: '' It would be act of cultural vandalism, to axe 6 Music". We heartily agree with him and feel that the same must be said for BBC Asian Network. Both of these stations are close to our heart given that they have provided a valuable platform and audience for our music and subsequently became our own
