Dear Friends
By now many of you will already be aware of the BBC's plans to axe 6 Music, Asian Network and a large portion of the website in an effort to cut costs and channel funds into Radio 2 - read the full article here. Phil Jupitas, comedian, musician and podcaster said of the decision: '' It would be act of cultural vandalism, to axe 6 Music". We heartily agree with him and feel that the same must be said for BBC Asian Network. Both of these stations are close to our heart given that they have provided a valuable platform and audience for our music and subsequently became our own
